The Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) successfully conducted its Specialist Mediators’ Workshop (SMW) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on 1–2 April 2026, marking a significant milestone as SIMC’s first programme in Central Asia. This initiative reflects SIMC’s ongoing commitment to advancing international commercial mediation across emerging and strategically important jurisdictions.

The Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) concluded its 4th Specialist Mediators’ Workshop (SMW) in Japan, and its 3rd edition held in Tokyo, a follow up from the last one we held in 2023.

At the Commonwealth Law Ministers Meeting 2026 in Fiji, convened under the theme “Anchoring Justice in a Changing Tide: Strengthening the Rule of Law for a Resilient Future,” Singapore’s Minister for Law Edwin Tong SC hosted a side event on 12 February to promote the Singapore Convention on Mediation.
