Singapore, 28 April 2017 – The Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Davinder Singh, SC, to its Board of Directors.

Singapore, 6 January 2017 – SIMC is pleased to announce that as part of a planned leadership transition, Mr George Lim, SC of Singapore law firm Wee Tay & Lim LLP, has been appointed as Chair of the Board with effect from 1 January 2017. Mr Edwin Glasgow QC, of 39 Essex Chambers in the UK, who was a Co-Chair with Mr Lim, will remain on the Board to provide strategic guidance for SIMC.

SIMC congratulates its Co-Chairmen Mr Edwin Glasgow CBE QC and Mr George Lim SC, as well as 12 of its mediators for receiving mentions in the 2016 Who’s Who Legal Mediation 2016 Analysis.

Singapore, 23 May 2016 – SIMC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Aloysius Goh as its new Deputy CEO with effect from 1 July 2016.

Companies which opt for mediation in intellectual property disputes will soon be able to benefit from subsidies under a new scheme.

In 2013, an International Commercial Mediation Working Group (“Working Group”) made various recommendations to develop Singapore into a centre for international commercial mediation. The Working Group’s recommendations were made with a view to adding to Singapore’s vibrant dispute resolution landscape and were accepted by the Government in December 2013.
