SIMC Appreciation Evening & Specialist Mediator Empanelment Ceremony: International Mediation – The Next Lap

Last Friday evening (10 Dec) we welcomed a new cohort of SIMC Specialist Mediators (Singapore) onboard and took the opportunity to express our appreciation to our partners and collaborators. 

We are grateful to Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Law, Ms Lai Wei Lin, for gracing the event as our Guest-of-Honour and presenting the Certificates of Appointment to our newly-minted Specialist Mediators, who had completed their course in July.  Heartiest congratulations to all!  Special shout-out to Professor Joel Lee, who is also SIMI chairman, for imparting his skills to them. 

One highlight of the evening, among many others, was a fireside chat featuring SIMC Chairman George Lim SC and SIAC CEO Gloria Lim.  The chat was moderated by Ms Rebecca Chew, Deputy Managing Partner of Rajah & Tann Singapore and SIMC Specialist Mediator.  During the closed-door session, the panellists and audience shared much food for thought on the next lap for international mediation.  

In the coming year, we will continue to deepen our relationships and work together to propel international mediation to the next plane.  Stay tuned for our plans!
