Managing Risks: Trials of a GC

The Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) is pleased to be hosting a lunch time webinar for members of the Association of Corporate Counsel. This session will present in-house counsel and C-suite level executives the opportunity to learn about the challenges and potential pitfalls of managing business risk, including dispute resolution and the benefits of mediation.

The host, SIMC’s CEO Mr Chuan Wee Meng, will be sharing insights of his experience in China and Asia Pacific when he was the General Counsel of IBM China and Asia Pacific. Formerly a litigator in practice, he will explore the challenges of managing risk and potential pitfalls for an MNC operating in a complex Asia environment. Drawing on SIMC’s vision, and his current experience as a mediator, Wee Meng will also present the relevance of mediation as an option for businesses in these pandemic times.
